    This medal was won by Robert Davies (Bardd Nantglyn) for a poem entitled 'Awyren'

    Awyren, belen, glud vasli-drwy chwa,
    Derch hynt hyd wybrenni;
    Nwyl wib long, ban nawf heb lli,
    A llaw dyn yn llyw dani.


    Translates as:

    An aircraft, a passage ball,
    through the stormy skies;
    A lively ship without a sea
    and the land of man, its rudder.

    The Eisteddfod was held on the 16-17th September, 1828 at Denbigh Castle, Denbighshire.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
