An art deco lady's diamond miniature wristwatch, by Cartier, circa 1932,
the rectangular dial with Arabic numerals and backwind movement, set to each side with stepped baguette-cut diamond shoulders, to a black cordette strap with single-cut diamond spacers and black enamel and 18 carat yellow gold deployante clasp, clasp with import marks for London 1932, signed J.C and numbered 2499, French assay marks, inner diameter 5.0 cm. movement signed European watch Co. to a Cartier fitted case

  • the term 'Baguette watch' was used by Cartier for miniature watches produced during the 1920's and 30's. It refers to the small baguette-cut diamonds which were used to adorn the watches and is mirrored in the shape of the dial.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
