front of disc engraved with initials "AC", stiff acanthus leaf decoration to front of stem, back of bowl engraved with initials "M P" either side of a rudimentary rat-tail, zig-zag assay scrape down back of stem, later crest engraved to back of disc, repaired at junction of disc and stem and again towards base of stem, 18.4cm. long, 1oz.

  • The repair to base of stem has been extremely well done but is visible due to a very slight discolouration; it does not, however, affect the marks.

  • Important notice:- A Scottish disc-end spoon Since cleaning we find the discolouration at base of spoon is NOT in fact a repair and therefore the only repair is to top at junction of disc and stem.

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
