1957 Standard Pennant Saloon
Registration no. PVD 918
Chassis no. PN/93221-E
Engine no. PN/93221
Produced contemporaneously with the Standard Ten, the Pennant was mechanically very similar, but altogether 'flashier' and much better equipped. The Pennant utilised the Ten's 948cc 37bhp engine and mechanical underpinnings, but clothed the ensemble in a re-styled bodyshell featuring 'squared off' front and rear wings, hooded headlamps, full-width front grille and chromed side trim dividing the two-tone paint scheme.
Acquired from its original lady owner in Scotland in 1977 and completely restored in the BMIHT Museum's own workshops, this superbly presented Pennant displays a total of 23,000 miles on odometer. The car is offered with original lady owner's correspondence and Swansea V5.
