the square topped hood over a blind fret and three quarter brass mounted Doric columns to the front and matching quarter columns to the rear, the long trunk door with D-moulded edge over a panelled base, the 11 inch square brass dial with twin cherub and crown spandrels interspersed with foliate scrolls to a silvered roman and arabic chapter ring with half quarter marks, the matted centre engraved with a foliate scroll centre and shaped signature plaque, with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the movement with tall rectangular plates, latched dial feet and six knopped latched pillars, anchor escapement with long brass crutch rack striking on a bell 2.11m (6ft 11ins) high

  • Jonathan Puller was apprenticed to Nicholas Coxeter in 1676 and made free of the Clockmakers Company in 1683. In 1705 he became an assistant of the Court, the governing body of the Clockmakers Company, but he is believed to have died the following year in 1706.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
