A Brass-Barrelled Percussion Blunderbuss

Hole, Bristol, Circa 1820 Converted from flintlock, with two-stage barrel turned and belled at the muzzle, engraved 'Bristol' on the octagonal breech and fitted with a spring bayonet above, signed engraved flat lock with safety-catch (incomplete, hammer missing), figured full stock (fore-end split, minor damage), chequered grip, and foliate engraved brass mounts comprising butt-plate and trigger-guard, the latter with pineapple finial (ramrod missing, steel parts with some surface rust), Birmingham proof marks
