    Jean Gourlay befriended "Kip" during the late 30s and early 40s and before he married his second wife in 1944. Two intimate and tender pencil portraits of Jean by Shepard are still held in the family collection.

    In the chapter "Tiggers don't climb trees", Pooh sings his song: "So he sat down on the stone in the middle of the stream and sang another verse of his song, while he wondered what what to do".

26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
