Fully renovated and extensively upgraded by a recognised Jaguar specialist, this desirable 3.8-litre, overdrive-equipped Mk2 features a bodyshell rebuilt approximately five years ago with new sills, jacking points, doors, cross member and front wings. The interior has been re-trimmed in best quality magnolia hide with red piping, dark red Wilton carpeting (boot included) and new wool headlining. The dashboard and woodwork have been refurbished, a Motolita steering wheel fitted and headrest-equipped reclining front seats installed, with inertia-reel seatbelts at the front and static belts to the rear. Suspension improvements include new Harvey Bailey up-rated coil springs and adjustable anti-roll bar, new top/bottom ball joints and new wheel bearings to the front, while at the rear the leaf springs and Panhard rod have been renewed. New adjustable shock absorbers are fitted all round, and the steering boasts a new power rack assembly. The brakes too have been upgraded with four-pot calipers at the front and new discs all round, new up-rated servo, new master cylinder, new copper pipes and Aerquip flexibles. A four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox (with overdrive in good working order) transmits power via a new prop shaft to a new Powerlok 3.54:1 limited-slip differential. The engine has been overhauled with a rebuilt, unleaded-compatible cylinder head, new water pump, rebuilt carburettors, new clutch, new clutch master/slave cylinders, stainless-steel exhaust and up-rated radiator and electric fan. Virtually all new, the electrical system boats a new wiring harness, fuel pump, battery, alternator, solenoid and starter motor, while upgrades include an electric aerial, CD player and up-rated heater blower and wiper motor. The car's handsome red livery is complemented by wide-section chromed wire wheels and spinners, stainless-steel kick plates and all new brightwork. Completed in 2001, this superb Mk2 is offered with fully listed specification, restoration invoices, current road fund licence, MoT to July 2003 and Swansea V5.
