A good, small mid 18th century ebonised bracket clock with silent verge escapement with pull quarter repeat on six bells, together with a later custom made wall bracket
the inverted bell top over glazed circular and shaped side apertures to a finely moulded base on block feet, the six inch arched brass dial signed in full in a recessed silvered cartouche set between subsidiary dials for regulation and strike/silent, each with matted centres, over scroll spandrels and a silvered roman and arabic chapter ring with matted centre and mock pendulum aperture, the fully signed movement with thick plates and five knopped pillars, the verge escapement with 'silent' steel pallets, sounding the hours on a single bell and repeating the quarters and hours on a nest of six bells activated from either side of the case via twin pull cords, together with a later custom made ebonised wall bracket with sliding key drawer
