  • It has not been possible to ascertain the present whereabouts of the original oil prototype, however an engraved version by Anker Smith (1759-1819), bearing the sitter's name in the background is known to exist (owned by Mr F.B.Daniel). Titian also used the same pose for his Girl in a Fur Coat, now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
