A Cased Pair Of 32-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistols
With rebrowned octagonal sighted barrels each with gold line and gold-lined maker's stamp at the breech, gold-lined touch-holes, finely engraved tangs, border engraved case-hardened detented locks each decorated with a starburst and foliage, and with large safety-catch, engraved 'French' cock and roller, figured full stocks, broadly chequered rounded butts, border engraved steel mounts including butt-caps and spur trigger-guards, the latter each decorated with a martial trophy and foliage on the flat bow, vacant silver eschtcheons, set triggers, horn fore-end caps, original horn-tipped ramrods, and traces of original finish (some areas of rust patination): in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including three-way flask covered in red leather (worn, leather scuffed), the exterior of the lid with flush-fitting brass carrying handle (keyhole escutcheon replaced)

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
