Exceptional cognacs are brought to life through rigorous selection and patient ageing — a journey measured not in years, but in generations. Certain eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne possess the rare potential to mature over decades, revealing their character slowly and gracefully. Yet very few casks truly defy time, continuing to evolve and deepen under the care of successive Cellar Masters.

Limited to 190 and 180 bottles respectively, Rare Cask Ancestral 25.1 and 25.2 are the inaugural expressions of this annual series: rare, unforgettable cognacs that embody the House's living heritage. Selected more than half a century ago for their intensity and vitality, these casks have matured in Delamain's historic Grand Chai, under the careful stewardship of generations of cellar masters. Bottled at cask strength, these casks, the first expressions of an annual release series, offer a glimpse into a continuing journey of craftsmanship, refinement, and tradition.

Ancestral 25.1, distributed exclusively in Europe, reveals a remarkable balance and depth shaped by decades of slow evolution, while Ancestral 25.2, available only in Asia and North America, unfolds a singular, layered complexity.

Tasting Notes:

RARE CASK ANCESTRAL 25.1
AROMAS: Freshly-picked pear and passion fruit followed by dried fruit aromas (figs and prunes) as countered by notes of cacao and gentle spices. All finishing with a flutter of soft kid-leather and bitter orange peel.
TASTE: The fruity aromatic journey continues on the palate, now joined by subtle notes of tobacco and discrete oak and then zesty citrus flavours and walnut.
STYLE: Deeply elegant and multi-layered; a tantalizing, triumphant combination of finesse and complexity which slowly unfolds.

RARE CASK ANCESTRAL 25.2
AROMAS: Candied fruit, especially dried apricot, mingling with spices like nutmeg and cloves and a hint of autumnal forest floor.
TASTE: Rich apricot, creamy vanilla and cacao, with a layer of walnut and deep rancio and a dash of aniseed freshness.
STYLE: Powerful, rounded and full; with an incredibly long finish; a stunning example of the heights (elegance and lengths) achievable with an extremely old Grande Champagne cognac.

香氣：初摘梨子與百香果的清新氣息縈繞，隨之而來的是無花果與西梅乾的甘醇果香，其間交織著可可豆的微苦與香料的合鳴，最後以柔韌皮革與苦橙皮的餘韻作結。
口感：果香之旅在唇齒間延續，煙燻氣息與隱約橡木香悄然浮現，繼而迸發出明快的柑橘風味與核桃的醇厚。

香氣：杏脯蜜餞的甜香與肉豆蔻、丁香的辛香交融，隱約透出秋日林地的泥土芬芳。
