Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2017 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 296 bottles produced
Notes: Gorgeous dark colour. The nose boasts incredible complexity with notes of dark fruit (blackcurrant, prune), fresh floral nuances (violet and peony), and spices (cinnamon, vanilla, coriander) evolving toward notes of baked goods (caramel, butter, cocoa). Warmer aromas of forest undergrowth (damp moss, truffle, tobacco) may also be detected. Superb on the palate, full-bodied and velvety, opulent yet subtle and fresh. Its lovely tannins are the sign of this truly great wine's splendid ageing potential.

Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2018 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 1161 bottles and 12 magnums produced
Notes: Gorgeous deep red in colour. Superb, warm, complex nose redolent of ras pberry, blackberry, ripe plum and medlar. Magnificent start to the palate, which is simultaneously deep, velvety and fresh. Flavours of jam, kirsch and mild spices are underscored by a touch of vanilla and liquorice. A rare combination of fullness, complexity and freshness in the mouth, signs that the grapes were harvested at their peak of ripeness. The tannins are perfectly well integrated and the length is remarkable. An exceptional wine.

Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2019 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 870 bottles and 15 magnums produced
Notes: Attracts the eye with its magnificent deep reddish-black colour and lovely viscosity. The first nose is ethereal with fine, elegant woody nuances of camphor, beeswax and walnut wood. An extremely generous start to the palate boasts depth, power and warmth. Returning back to the nose, scents of rose and peony begin to surface with a slightly mineral, stony note. It then opens up to aromas of cherry and raspberry evocative of baked goods such as cherry clafoutis, vanilla and brown sugar... This wine is extremely complex, going on to develop nuances of chocolate, eucalyptus and mint, pepper, whiffs of pine forests and heather... The palate is rich, silky and full-bodied with a finish that showcases this wine's lovely round tannins.

Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2020 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 828 bottles and 24 magnums produced
Notes: Gorgeous, dark, intense red colour. Complex nose redolent of vanilla and cherry, cigar and coffee, pastries and red fruit preserve (cherry, raspberry, cranberry...). Notes of fresh spices lend a mounting, airy, very elegant dimension. The palate is extremely dense and deep, yet fresh featuring bold, well-integrated acidity and tannins. The overall impression is one of silkiness, fluidity and elegance. It is exceptionally complex, finishing on notes of sweetened dark chocolate and liquorice. A magnificent wine that is elegant, distinguished and dense.

Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2021 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 556 bottles and 18 magnums produced
Notes: Superb deep vermillion red colour. The first nose is elegant, fruity (orange peel) and delicately floral (carnation, rose). Warm scents of leather and incense then emerge. Balsamic notes gradually give way to delectable aromas of brioche and still-warm freshly baked bread. Nuances of truffle recall the clayey nature of this wine's terroir. A full-bodied, generous start to the palate offers pleasing flavours of sugared almonds and slightly bitter hot chocolate. The tannins are mature, assertive and remarkably round. Excellent length on the palate is punctuated by refreshing bitterness. Exceptional balance. This is a superbly pleasurable wine that will reveal its full potential as it ages.

Edouard Delaunay, Charmes-Chambertin, 2022 (1x 750ml)
Region: Burgundy
Miscellaneous: 556 bottles and 18 magnums produced
Notes: Splendid, very intense ruby red in colour. An expressive, powerful nose offers dominant fruity scents of plum tart, cherry clafoutis and blood orange peel. Pleasing fresh spring scents (fresh coriander, chlorophyll) are enhanced by a warmer note of beeswax. Elegant and subtle woody aromas (light tobacco, incense, cedar) lend depth and complexity. This wine is magnificently dense on the palate and boasts lovely balance. The tannins are soft and silky, resulting in remarkable length. The finish is both fresh (Sichuan pepper) and warm (cocoa powder, tonka bean). This great wine is well suited for laying down, to allow its infinite palette of aromas and flavours to develop with age.
