Benjamin Preston, London, four marked 1838 and two marked 1864
Each naturalistically modelled as shells raised on a profusely decorated shell and foliate shaped oval foot, the undersides each engraved with a rampant lion crest (possibly later), height 8cm, weight 1269gms. (7)

Footnotes

The crest appears to be that associated with the arms of the family of ROBERTS of Twickenham Middlesex, Barnstaple Devon and Cornwall.

The blazon of the crest: a lion rampant or, in the dexter forepaw a sword argent hilt and pommel of the first.
