A pair of Royal Worcester vases, circa 1880

Of flattened oviform, naturalistically moulded in a basket weave, Greek key pattern to the rim, flowering rose stems issuing from four feet modelled as mature branches in gold with red enamel detailing, twin handles to the shoulders also in gold, 21cm wide, 13cm deep, 20cm high (8in wide, 5in deep, 7 1/2in high), green printed mark to the base, one also with the impressed factory mark and 'S8', shape number 357 (2)
