Early 20th century
In the Cabbage Roses pattern, comprising: a pair of heart shaped dishes with impressed WEMYSS WARE/ R. H.& S., one retailed by T Goode & Co; a large rectangular dish with painted and impressed mark; two small side plates with painted mark to underside and another similar; and a spill vase with impressed mark, the heart shaped dishes: 26cm wide, 3cm deep, 31.5cm high (10in wide, 1in deep, 12in high) (6)

According to Lady Glenconner, Lord Glenconner was a keen Wemyss ware collector with 'every single dressing room, bedroom and bathroom' of Glen, the Tennant family estate in the Scottish Borders, being filled with the pottery.

Provenance
One heart shaped dish and the rectangular deep dish labelled with a retail label for Rogers de Rin Antiques, Chelsea.
