In the Cabbage Roses pattern, comprising: a pair of chambersticks with painted and impressed mark to base; a quaich with impressed mark; a twin handled bowl with painted mark; an ink stand with impressed WEMYSS WARE/ R.H.& S. mark and retailed by T Goode & Co; a match case with painted mark to inside base; a pair of small cache pots stamped to the underside Robert Heron & Sons and painted with the initials W.Z.; a small spill vase with painted and impressed mark; a small urn shaped vase with retail stamp for T Goode & Co; and a small vase and box and cover painted in the style of Wemyss, the chambersticks: 11.8cm wide, 11.8cm deep, 17cm high (4 1/2in wide, 4 1/2in deep, 6 1/2in high) (12)

Footnotes

According to Lady Glenconner, Lord Glenconner was a keen Wemyss ware collector with 'every single dressing room, bedroom and bathroom' of Glen, the Tennant family estate in the Scottish Borders, being filled with the pottery.
