A Derby centrepiece

Circa 1765
Formed of three tiers of scallop shells and naturalistically modelled, the shells picked out in pink enamels, the upper shell containing a small cornichon, supported on a pierced structure applied with a profusion of smaller shells, seaweed and corals, shell and seaweed support and base, patch marks, 24cm wide, 23cm deep, 28cm high (9in wide, 9in deep, 11in high)
