Molded Copper and Zinc Horse Weathervane
attributed to Harris & Co., Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1875
Swell-bodied copper figure of a racehorse with hollow-molded legs and tail soldered to body, head of solid cast zinc, and crimped mane of sheet copper, raised on vertical supports below chest and back hoof, both connecting to 31-inch horizontal copper rod, includes bracket for wall mounting, fine restored verdigris and gold leaf surfaces, wd. 31 1/4, dp. 2, ht. 16 3/4 in.
