Guy Carleton Wiggins was born in Brooklyn, New York. He became one of the youngest members of the Old Lyme Art Colony in Old Lyme, Connecticut, in the 1920s, and worked alongside other American impressionists including Childe Hassam and Frank Vincent DuMond. Wiggins was best known for his depictions of New York City street scenes and New England landscapes.
