Kiley Court Gallery, Provincetown, Massachusetts.
N.B.
Robert Cardinal was born in Montréal, Canada, and moved to Provincetown, Massachusetts, in the 1960s. His painting is deeply influenced by the works of Maxfield Parrish and Edward Hopper, as evidenced by his simple, evocative compositions that often omit human figures and foreground isolated structures. Cardinal now lives in North Truro, Massachusetts, and paints alongside his son, Julian Cardinal (also represented in the present sale).
