Falling Autumn Leaves
Edo period (1615–1868) or Meiji era (1868–1912), 19th century
Kakejiku (hanging scroll), ink and slight colours on paper in silk mounts: Falling leaves of maple and other trees and pinecones in a drenching shower of rain; with signature Seisei Kiitsu and seal ,Kiitsu; with a wood storage box
Overall: 191 × 40.5cm (75 1/4 × 16in); image: 118 × 29.5cm (46 1/2 × 11 5/8in)

Two Cock's Combs
Edo period (1615–1868) or Meiji era (1868–1912), 19th century
Kakejiku (hanging scroll), ink and colours on paper in silk mounts with lacquered jikusaki (roller ends): A well-observed study of two keitō (cock's combs, Celosia argentea); inscribed Sofu Shinseki Ōshin shō (An authentic work by my grandfather, authenticated by Ōshin) and sealed Ōkyo no in and Ōshin; with a wood storage box and a cardboard slipcase
