The creative collaboration between Jean Milant and Ed Ruscha is the stuff of legend. Creating prints with outside-the-box materials like Pepto-Bismol and caviar, the relationship between the two artworld giants certainly advanced the technology of printmaking, along with their deep friendship. The present lot is a prime example of Ruscha's profound transformation of word into image and masterful dry pigment technique, as well as a testament to Milant's impeccable taste.
