Of rounded rectangular profile decorated with a continuous scene of an emaciated ghost rising above a mosquito net in iro-e takamaki-e and hiramaki-e on a roiro-nuri ground with highlights of hirame, the interior grey ishimeji, signed in gold lacquer on an inlaid gold tablet Tomizō Zeshin utsusu; with a walrus tusk bead ojime carved with the face of a ghost in low relief, signed Tomi
