Edo period (1615-1868) or Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
Comprising an ebony wood pavilion in a mountainous landscape, signed Gyokuzan; a roosting goose, its head turned back to preen its feathers, signed Shūmin; Ebisu scrubbing Benten's back in a bath; Jurojin standing, holding a handscroll, accompanied by a stag, signed Issai; a seated, laughing man holding a cup, his left arm and shoulder bare; a seated boy holding a peach; a seated man studying a handscroll; a standing man dressed in the typical fashion of a wealthy merchant; a standing Gama Sennin holding a lingzhi fungus, his toad companion on his shoulder; and a painted wood Shojo (Drunken Sprite) holding a fan
3in (7.6cm) high, the largest (10).
