PRESENTATION COPY FOR HIS GODSON, KAI JONAS COLLIN, "Denne bog tilhører/ min egen lille gudsøn /Jonas Collin/ HC Andersen" ["This book belongs to my own godchild Jonas Collin/ H.C. Andersen"]. Kai Jonas Collin was the first-born son of Edgar and Magdalene Collin, on April 27, 1867. The H.C. Andersen Museum in Odense has two other editions inscribed from Andersen to his godson in 1867 and 1870. For more on the importance of the Collin family in Andersen's life see lots 61, 62, 63, 65, 66.

FIRST EDITION of the first volume of the Lorenz Frølich illustrated "collected fairy tales" (the third volume, including Vilhelm Pedersen's illustrated volumes of 1862-3). Nielsen 1007.
