Footnotes

"A Whippet in Sheep's Clothing is a sculptural kennel inspired by the playful yet serene nature of Archi, the studio whippet, and the rolling landscapes of the South Downs. Crafted from curved plywood, the form echoes both the sleek contours of a whippet in motion and the organic shapes of the countryside. Lined with locally sourced sheepskins, it offers a soft, tactile retreat that nurtures comfort and connection to nature. Playfully referencing the phrase "a wolf in sheep's clothing," the design allows Archi to blend into the pastoral world he loves, subtly mimicking the form of a grazing sheep.

Quote from Simon and Darren, founders of George and James Architects:

"We're thrilled to be taking part in Barkitecture at Goodwoof for the third year running! After the Agility Desk in 2023 and Archi's Travelling Trunk in 2024, we're back with A Whippet in Sheep's Clothing—our latest playful take on canine comfort and design. It's always a joy to be part of this celebration of creativity and craftsmanship."
