D'une hauteur de 71 cm et de couleur or et sakura, elle est réalisée en aluminium (dont 30% recyclé). La torche tire son inspiration du cerisier Sakura, arbre emblématique du Japon, sur sa partie centrale figure l'emblème des Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo 2020. Designer/ fabricant : Tokujin Yoshioka Inc. Composée de 5 cylindres, elle possède un système à double combustion au propane qui produit une flamme bleue ainsi qu'une combustion catalytique sans flamme, ceci afin de garantir la permanence de la flamme tout en lui apportant une teinte tirant sur le rouge.

Official torch of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
With a height of 71 cm and in colors of gold and sakura, it is made of aluminum (of which 30% is recycled). The torch is inspired by the Sakura cherry blossom, an emblematic tree of Japan, with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic emblem featured on its central part. Designed and manufactured by Tokujin Yoshioka Inc., it consists of 5 cylinders and features a dual combustion system using propane, producing a blue flame as well as a flameless catalytic combustion to ensure the permanence of the flame while imparting a reddish hue.
