A Meissen group of the drunken Silenus, late 19th century

Modelled by E.A. Leuteritz, seated slumped on a donkey supported by a standing figure to his left, in front a seated nymph with a basket of grapes to her side and grapes in her right hand, the base modelled with gilt-edged scrollwork, 21.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number 2724., impressed 70 and 46 (some restoration to extremeties)
