A Sèvres dinner plate, circa 1795

Painted by Pierre Massy with a blue star shape in the centre surrounded by a wreath of pink roses, the rim with a border consisting of blue foliate motifs and hanging swags of flowers under a blue-ground band around the edge, 24.2cm diam., RF Sevre in blue, painter's mark for Massy and incised marks (some wear)
