A Berlin cup and saucer, circa 1803-13

Of "Campanerform," the cup painted with a continuous scene of Italian dancers and musicians within gilt borders and high loop handle, the interior richly gilt, the saucer painted with a continuous scene of Italian youths at various pursuits in a pastoral landscape bordered with a raised band of ligated palmettos in gilt, a raised flower medallion to centre of gilt-ground well, the cup: 8.5 cm high; the saucer: 16.6 cm diam., sceptre mark with dash in underglaze-blue (2)
