A late 19th century brass-mounted mahogany quarter chiming table clock

The case surmounted by a caddy top with decorative brass mounts, over a pair of cast brass pillars with Corinthian capitals sitting on four gadrooned brass feet, the 7.5 inch break arch Roman and Arabic dial with silvered chapter ring and fleur-de-lis half hour markers framed by brass spandrels and three subsidiary dials, strike/silent, slow/fast regulation and "chime on eight bells" or "Westminster chime" with blued steel hands. The triple fusee movement with anchor escapement. striking the hours on a blued steel gong and chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells. Ticking and chiming with a modern clock key and case key. 63cms high (24 1/2 inches)
