An early 19th century mahogany painted dial miniature longcase clock

The mahogany case surmounted by a cast eagle finial, with a break-arch hood flanked by two columns, over a shaped front door with an inlaid marquetry shell, and a moulded base.
The 7-inch painted dial with Roman numerals and a painted scene of Britannia, with a central automaton windmill mounted to the escape wheel, and blued steel hands.
The four-pillared movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking.
139cm (55in) high

Footnotes

The dial is signed G Craven Wakefield, likely the manufacturer of the painted dial and not the clockmaker.
