A Norwegian carved 'Kasas' or ale bowl

Probably early 19th century
The low oval body with dished well, the sides decorated with geometric zig-zag bands, the drinking spout with inset narrow cylindrical metal nozzle, together with a later wood carved shepherd's cup or dipper in the form of a horse, with similarly carved zig-zag banding around the base and the side edges of the bowl, The bowl: 6.5cm high, 24.5cm wide, 11cm deep; the cup: 8.7cm high, 15.5cm wide, 6cm deep (2)
