Each with a curved back and scrolled, dished and shaped toprail, above a vase shaped splat, over a rush-inset seat and a shaped seat frame, on eared cabriole front legs each carved with two addorsed c-scrolls, on splayed rear legs, 57cm wide x 49cm deep x 102.5cm high, (22in wide x 19in deep x 40in high) (2)

Provenance
The offered chairs were acquired by the parents of the current owner and vendor from David Tron Antiques, Chelsea, in London, on 8 September 1994, where they were described as 'a fine pair of walnut chairs (first quarter 18th century)'.
