A large Italian carved marble bust of Pericles

After the Antique, probably late 18th/early 19th century
The bearded warrior looking to dexter, his shoulders clad in drapery, on waisted circular socle, together with a modern black veined marble column pedestal, the bust: 44cm wide, 24cm deep, 75cm high (17in wide, 9in deep, 29 1/2in high) (2)
