A pair of Regency brass and ebony inlaid rosewood and parcel gilt card tables

Circa 1820, in the manner of George Oakley
Each with line-inlaid shaped tablets, variously inlaid with anthemia, stylised foliage and rosettes, the rectangular swivel hinged foldover top with canted angles, the top with an inlaid star pattern border above repeating opposing s-scroll edges, enclosing a baize lined playing surface, on a giltwood acanthus wrapped ring turned baluster column with a lotus leaf clasped socle, the circular platform base terminating in four hipped downswept square section tapering legs and brass hairy lion paw feet and castors, 86cm wide x 42cm deep x 73cm high, (33 1/2in wide x 16 1/2in deep x 28 1/2in high) (2)
