A set of four sycamore 'spiderback' open armchairs

After a design by Sir Edwin Lutyens
Each with an oval back and pierced 'spider web' splat, on square tapering legs, with splayed rear legs and an x-stretcher, with labels to the undersides which are compliant with 1988 Fire Safety regulations, 60cm wide x 52cm deep x 94cm high, (23 1/2in wide x 20in deep x 37in high) (4)

The design for this armchair is after a set of twenty-one chairs provided in 1905 for the Board Room of Country Life magazine headquarters in Tavistock Street by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The design of the back references the 18th century cabinet-maker George Hepplewhite.
