A late 17th/early 18th century rosewood and oyster veneered kneehole bureau

1695-1715, in the manner of Thomas Pistor
Inlaid with radiating segmentally veneered roundels, lunettes and spandrels, the hinged fall applied with a moulded reading rest, enclosing two deep and two short drawers, above two lopers and eight short waved veneered oak lined drawers flanking one long frieze drawer over one door to the kneehole recess, enclosing one shelf, on later elongated bracket feet, with quarter veneered sides, extensively restored, at least three of the internal drawers are probably replacements or the interior has been re-configured at a later date, 106cm wide x 63.5cm deep x 83cm high, (41 1/2in wide x 25in deep x 32 1/2in high)
