A pair of French 19th century mahogany fauteuils

Most likely Charles X period (circa 1830), but possibly late 19th century
Each with a rectangular back surmounted by a lappeted and addorsed volute scroll carved triangular toprail above a brass mount comprised of an opposing stylised foliate, honeysuckle and anthemia pattern centred by an Apollo mask, with stiff leaf wrapped, lotus-leaf carved and part-reeded downswept arms, over palmette applied blocks, on volute scrolled and lotus leaf headed scrolled tapering front legs, with square splayed rear legs, the seats apparently later sprung when re-upholstery took place, 60cm wide x 49cm deep x 92.5cm high, (23 1/2in wide x 19in deep x 36in high) (2)
