A Louis XVI carved and giltwood wall barometer

The cartouche case flanked by twin dolphins above scaly swags and surmounted by a foliate shell cresting with applied twin birds on a diaper ground, the whole centred by an 8.5" painted dial inscribed: PAR FIORONY , the lower tapering section inset with an alcohol thermometer within a foliate rectangular border flanked by fruiting pendants above a foliate terminal, 48cm wide, 7cm deep, 102 cm high (18 1/2in wide, 2 1/2in deep, 40in high)
