Footnotes
One of the seals bears the inscription Ri □ on its face, while its reverse features a finely carved motif of two figures holding a mirror, rendered with lifelike expression. The other seal bears the characters Zhang Xing on its face, while its reverse features an incised scene of a literati gathering. A figure on the left plays the xiao (flute), while one on the right strums a zheng, zither, both positioned beneath a roof. The flowing lines of the decoration exemplify the typical integration of pictorial and textual elements characteristic of Han dynasty private seals. Both seals are crafted from bronze with a warm patina, holding significant value for research in craft and art history.
