The DeWitt Twenty-8-Eight Skeleton Tourbillon reference T8.TH.008A is a stunning high-end, limited-edition timepiece in 18k rose gold. Launched in 2012, it is celebrated for its intricate design and horological complications. The T8.TH.008A was produced in a very small series, initially 25 in 2012, and then 99 pieces in 2019 like the present example, making it a rare collector's item. The timepiece's most defining feature is its manually wound skeletonized tourbillon movement, the DeWitt Calibre DW 8028S. The open-worked design allows for a clear view of the complex inner workings, including the one-minute tourbillon. Another signature architectural detail of the DeWitt brand, the case band is adorned with 48 "imperial columns" as a tribute to founder Jérôme de Witt's royal ancestry. As one of the earliest in-house tourbillon calibers from DeWitt, the reference T8.TH.008A holds a special place in the brand's history. Its unique blend of advanced horology and distinctive neoclassical styling makes it a rare and standout piece for serious collectors.
