Najla Al Saleem is a Saudi artist born and based in Riyadh. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University, and a PhD in Philosophy and Design from Birmingham City University. Her earliest artistic education came from her father, the late Mohammed Al Saleem, a pioneer of the Saudi modern art movement and founder of the Horizonism style associated with the desert school.

While her practice reflects this influence, Najla has developed a distinct approach that emphasises vertical compositions, movement, and unity through her use of line. Her canvases frequently feature human figures in dynamic poses, rendered with layered textures and a strong command of colour. She has presented solo exhibitions in Riyadh and Dubai and has also participated in numerous group shows.

In addition to her artistic practice, Najla plays an active role in advancing the cultural and artistic landscape in Saudi Arabia. She serves as Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Society for Art and Chairman of DarAlFnoon, an organisation aimed at carrying forward her father's legacy.
