Born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Abdulhalim Radwi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (BA, 1964) and later at the Royal Arts Academy in Madrid (1979). He taught Fine Arts in Mecca and held leadership roles including Director of the Jeddah Centre for Fine Arts and General Director of Culture and Arts in Jeddah. Radwi worked across painting, sculpture, and poetry, often portraying folkloric Saudi scenes with bright colours, arabesque forms, and Arabic calligraphy. His work balances modern abstraction with cultural roots and has been exhibited internationally, influencing the development of modern Saudi art.
