A Sèvres bleu-céleste ground ewer (broc ordinaire), dated 1759

Of the second size, painted by Armand l'aîné, reserved with a shaped oval panel finely painted with a landscape vignette depicting two birds, within an elaborate gilt scrollwork cartouche with flowers and trellis panels, a gilt floral wreath at the base of the handle, the handle embellished with gilt floral motifs, gilt dentil border to the rim, 19.3cm high, interlaced LL monogram with date letter F in blue, smudged painter's mark, incised "Du", applied collector's label RRSC to base numbered F9 (crack to side)
