Two Sèvres blue-ground plates, dated 1771

Painted by Jean-Nicolas Le Bel and Mme. Bouillat, respectively, with scattered rose sprays, the bleu Fallot ground reserved with further flower sprays and heightened with gilt dots, the rim moulded with gilt-edged scrolls divided by gilt fan motifs, 24.5cm across, interlanced LL monograms enclosing date letter S in blue, painter's marks LB and Y, incised LL (some flaking to gilt rim of well) (2)
