Footnotes
Hapshash And The Coloured Coat was a design partnership, formed by Michael English and Nigel Waymouth, who produced a range of visually-stunning posters to rival those coming out of the US West Coast's counter-cultural music scene in the late 1960s. Granny Takes A Trip was a clothing boutique opened by Waymouth and his girlfriend in the King's Road, London, in 1966, and which soon became a regular destination for many of the rock groups at the time.
Provenance
From the Peter Golding Collection.
