The three-part brass-bound case with brass furniture and side handles, numeral plaque to the centre section, and a felt covered underside, internally set with a brass stay and standard rising ratchet tipsy key. The 3.75 inch signed silvered Roman dial with 48-hour power reserve over subsidiary running seconds. The full-plate chain fusee movement with maintaining power to an Earnshaw type detent escapement, with freesprung blued steel helical balance spring to a cut and compensated bimetallic balance with keystone shaped weights, suspended in a numbered weighted bowl.
