The dial attached to the body of the case via four steel pegs, over a well–figured mahogany trunk terminating in a chisel foot with lock. The 12–inch wooden dial with typical blued steel hands, Roman numerals and a dotted minute border, enclosed within a brass bezel and moulded surround. The signed and numbered single gut–fusee movement with substantial plates numbered 1063, fitted with a deadbeat escapement and steel–rod pendulum with heavy brass bob. 63cms (25ins) high.
